The Aviary is a cozy game about discovering the birds around you by their sound: record a bird’s song, the app identifies it right on your phone, and the bird comes to live in your own little forest.

Does the app upload my recordings? No. Bird identification runs entirely on your device and your recordings never leave your phone. See the privacy policy for the full picture.
Why does the app ask for my location? Only an approximate area is used, to know which birds are expected near you and to flag unusual sightings. You can decline and still play.
Bird identification is powered by BirdNET, developed by the K. Lisa Yang Center for Conservation Bioacoustics at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and Chemnitz University of Technology.
